The Full Story
In 2013 God placed a hunger for the truth and a call on Dr. Marcus Lang Sr. to start a non-traditional Pentecostal Apostolic Church. Dr. Marcus Lang Sr was reluctant and somewhat fearful to answer the call. God literally allowed a situation to arise that caused Dr. Lang to answer the call and not try to plan for God but allow God to be God. In November 2013, Dr. Lang started a small bible study and founded Acts Family Worship Center, Apostolic Faith in his mother and sisters living room. On January 19, 2014, Dr. Lang had his first official service at ACTS Family Worship Center in the Boys and Girls Club in Kenosha. God blessed again , in July of 2014, the congregation moved to their own location at 5707 7th Ave. God did a lot for this congregation in first 8 months. AFWC is true testament, that dreams do come true with the help of God.
Statement of Faith
We Believe . . .
*The Holy Bible to be the inspired Word of God
*In the oneness of God—that there are three manifestations of the one God: Father, Son, and Holy Ghost
*The name by which God is known is Lord Jesus Christ
*In the virgin birth, death, burial, and bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ
*In the necessity of baptism in water in Jesus’ name according to Acts 2:38, and the in-filling of the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in tongues according to Acts 2:4.
*In living a holy, consecrated, and sanctified life
*In the translation of the saints, commonly known as the Rapture (I Thess. 4:13-17)
